This is a very creative haunt with lots of attention to detail as well as some scary live monsters. My favorite part was a tribute to a bunch of the old B movie monsters from movies from the 50's--it was also mainly done in black and white. I had a blast. If you're looking for more than just walking in the dark and having people jump out at you then this is the place to go.

Great sets, but few actual scares. What ones they had were set off just before we got to them because we got stuck with a large group.

Fantastic! The whole experience is like stumbling into someone else's nightmare. It all reeks of a wonderfully perverse sense of humor of the designer. The set is beautifully done, the actors devoted, and the well-executed displays ranging from the hideous to the unbelievable.

Was our last stop at Fright Town and totally ruined the experience. Too much light and the crowd control was poor so we had twenty people standing around looking somewhat confused as one or two clowns came out and honked their pitiful horn.

The sets were very nice, but where were the frights? Where was the cast? It was basically just a walk through dark halls to look at snazy set decorations. The only redeeming value was the stripper/go-go dancer. I should have just stayed in that room.

This has to be one our favorite haunts in Oregon. That said, it's not really a haunted house, more a twisted screwed up mad man's vision. The sets are beautiful, the actors are spot on, the sound and lights work well, and the amount of time spent inside Von Gooloo's is well worth the price of admission.
When people ask me which haunts to go to, I tell them the Nightmare Factory in Salem and Firght Town in Portland.

Somewhat frightful, a little more artistic and though there is an overall theme the rooms didn't quite match. Loved the ending.
