This is really tough, because you can't compare Darkest Dreams Entertainment to the regular haunts that we see here on Roots, since it is really a different beast altogether. If you are looking for a typical jump-out-and-scare-you haunt, you will not find it here. Instead, you must commit yourself to experiencing a different world, one where you can allow your perceptions of reality to be be skewed, and allow yourself to be immersed in an alternate reality.
In Alice, you have to want to be lost. You'll find yourself in an alternate world, one where the fairy tales of your youth have taken over. The scenes are incredibly well done, and the actors are beyond committed to their roles. It's not at all super-scary adrenaline-rush horror, but it is a fascinating ride through a darkly twisted world where the story you loved as a child is happening in front of you and you have become an unwitting participant. Enjoy it for what it is, for the trip down the rabbit hole is indeed a fun ride. For young kids, it might be a safer, less-scary option than most other haunts. And for the adults able and willing to lose themselves in a fictional story-land and suspend their expectations, they just might walk away with a renewed, yet unsettling, sense of the magical.

My wife and I visited a similiar haunt at Oaks Park in 2006... same year we went nuts with all the Haunted Houses in Portland area. We loved the 2006 Screamland version so much, we went through twice the same night. Sad to see this is but a fraction of the haunt... and though it has some potential (some very motivated actors) it was way too short and poorly laid out to be a true haunt. Bring back the "Twisted Fairy Tales" and "Haunted Theater" duo!!!!
Oh, and don't bother with the "VIP" bar.... very sad and made the site seem like a strip club running a haunted house in the back for some extra cash.
